Knitting, Scarf, Merino Angora

Knitting and streaming TV

Pin's Scarf

Pin's scarf is complete! This is a really soft and comfy scarf and I hope it'll keep Pin warm and happy on her trip to very cold winter Berlin next week. This took me a little over 2 weeks to complete, usually have less time during the week to knit so majority of the knitting is done over the weekend. I've discovered knitting in bed while watching streaming TV on the computer and realising some how miraculously after every episode I've made a lot of progress! Now there is no turning back and knitting is never the same again. I can no longer just sit and knit - unless it is a complicated pattern and it requires more of my attention.

Pin's Scarf

This is a free pattern by Ann Budd from Knitting Daily is actually a very easy project despite looking complicated. It's all just only knitting and purling - no knit 2 together or slip stitching or yarn over. The perfect project for any newbie knitter who wants to knit something a little more challenging. The yarn I've used for this project is Sublime Yarns Angora Merino in 45 Chili. Because of the angora content of the yarn, after a few days a layer of fine pinkness formed over my white quilt. And so when sleeping I sometimes get angora tickles on my nose. Needless to say there was many micro pink rolled up fluff trailed me everywhere leading people to think I have a pink dog, or something.

Pin's Scarf

Next project is Angie's scarf for Shanghai and I am going to be using yet another basket-weave/ checkerboard pattern by Laurie Perry.
